3 … is my favourite number – Skincare

Earlier in the week I was asked to take part in Ashlie’s new hashtag #ashlies3productsilove over on Instagram. Obviously I diligently responded and didn’t find it hard to pick my favourite three (… all hail Queen Liz and the kingdom of Kiehl’s) but I really didn’t want to stop at three so I thought I might just continue it on over here.
I love monthly favourites but I’m a bit of a creature of habit and when I find something that I love I tend to stick with it so I’m just going to do a series of posts on my top 3 favourites in different areas.

I’ll start with skincare as that’s the easiest to do.

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser – I could have this as my first second and third place but that just wouldn’t be far to everything else.  I use it every night with a hot flannel (you get a muslin cloth with it but I find a flannel works better) followed by a cold water rinse, a quick spritz of Instant Boost Tonic and a good slather of Skin Repair Moisturiser.  Its amazing at removing all make and making you feel clean as a whistle.

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate – This is a game changer.  It smells amazing.  It feels amazing.  It makes you wake up in the morning feeling all Disney princess like (no guarantee of bluebirds doing your hair and squirrels tidying your bedroom though … Damn!).  It is pricey but you only need a few drops a night.  I bought mine over a year ago and I’m only half way through the bottle.  Basically my advice is “Go without food before you go without this”

Clarins Sun Wrinkle Control Cream For Face – If Baz Luhrmann can get a no 1 hit out of it surely we need to listen … wear sunscreen.  My skin isn’t the fairest of them all but I am prone to burning so this is my go to facial sunscreen.  I know people don’t see the point in buying separate sunscreen for face and body but I always feel like I’m wearing a greasy mask when I’ve used the same one for both.  I like this one as its lightweight and smells nice … and it really works.
